Ancestors from Duxbury, Plymouth Co. Mass.

This post is part of an ongoing project--organizing my direct ancestors by the towns in New England where they lived. I love learning about the towns in which they lived and will list my favorite resources. Please add a comment about your family from these towns and your favorite resources as well. Much of the genealogical information is a work in progress! I have blogged about many of the ancestors listed, but some I don't know enough about yet to write a sketch of their lives.

William Bassett, b ca 1600, married Elizabeth _____. Came to Plymouth on the Fortune in 1621, removed to Duxbury in 1638, later lived at Bridgewater where he died in 1667. I descend through his son Nathaniel who was born ca 1628 in Plymouth and later moved to Yarmouth.

William Brewster, Mayflower passenger, born about 1567, was one of the original settlers of Duxbury. My Duxbury branch of the family descends through son Love 2 who married Sarah Collier and stayed in Duxbury, then grandson Deacon William 3 who married Lydia Partridge daughter of George Partridge of Duxbury,  stayed in Duxbury and became a large landholder there, then great-grandson Joshua 4 born about 1698, stayed in Duxbury, married Deborah Jackson. Joshua’s daughter Sarah was born 1727 and married Joseph Wright of Duxbury and they moved to Plympton.

Peter Browne, born about Jan 1595 at Dorking, Surrey, England, married Martha (___) (Ford); 2nd Mary ___.  He was granted land at Duxbury. I descend through his daughter Mary who was b. about 1626 at Plymouth. The family later lived at Duxbury but he died at Plymouth in 1633. His daughter Mary married Ephraim Tinkham and they lived at Plymouth and Duxbury.
Edward Bumpus, also lived in Middleborough and Marshfield, born about 1603 in England. Married Hannah _____, died Marshfield 1693. I know I descend from Edward and Hannah but I have an iffy generation that I need to figure out.
John Cary, he was born Bristol England about 1610, lived at Duxbury and later Bridgewater where he died 31 Oct 1681. Married Elizabeth Godfrey. Son Francis Cary, born Duxbury 19 Jan 1648 m. Lydia Brett, moved to Bridgewater where he died 1727.  Francis’ dau Melatiah Cary born about 1685, married Joseph Lucas and moved to Plympton.
William Collier, b. Southwark, Surrey, about 1585, died probably Duxbury 1670-1671, m Jane Clark, richest man in Plymouth Colony. I descend through their daughter Sarah Collier who married Love Brewster and raised their family in Duxbury. She m. 2nd Richard Park of Cambridge and she moved there but returned to Duxbury when he died and she died at Plymouth in 1691.
Philip Delano, born Leiden Holland ca 1603, immigrated to Plymouth on the Fortune in 1621; later moved to Duxbury. He married 1st Hester Dewsbery and 2nd Mary Pontus. He died Duxbury 1681/82. I descend through Philip and Hester’s daughter, Esther. She married John Soule and raised her family in Duxbury where she died in 1735.
Samuel Eaton, born about 1620 in England, didn’t stay at Duxbury, moving to Middleborough. He was son of Francis Eaton of the Mayflower. He married 1st Elizabeth___; 2nd Martha Billington 1661 at Plymouth. Martha was b. about 1638, daughter of Francis Billington who came on the Mayflower and Christian Penn. She married 2nd Robert Crossman of Taunton.
Henry Howland b. about 1603 in England, m. Mary ____, died Duxbury 1670/71. He was first at Plymouth where he was by 1633. I then descend through his daughter Abigail b. about 1628, m. John Young in 1648 at Plymouth (John Young was born England about 1623, died Eastham 1691), died 1692 at Eastham, Mass.
John Irish, born about 1611 in England, migrated to Plymouth in 1630, m. Elizabeth ___ ca 1644, lived in Duxbury where he likely died in 1678. I descend from their daughter Elizabeth born 1639-1644 probably in Duxbury, m. Philip Washburn.
Samuel Nash, b. about 1602, migrated to Plymouth 1632, moved to Duxbury by 1639 where he died between 1682 (deposition) and 1683/4 (inventory). His wife’s name is not known. I descend through his daughter, whose first name is unknown, who married Abraham Sampson of Duxbury.
George Partridge, migrated by 1635, m. Sarah Tracy at Plymouth 1638, also one of the original purchasers at Middleborough and Bridgewater, he died about 1695 at Duxbury. I descend through their daughter Lydia born about 1651 at Duxbury, m. William Brewster Jan 1672 at Duxbury.
Abraham Pierce b. about 1600 in England, came to Plymouth on the Anne in 1623, m Rebecca ____.  He moved to Duxbury and was an original proprietor of Bridgewater in 1645 but not sure if he ever lived there, he died ca 1673 in Duxbury. I descend through three of Abraham’s children.
o   His daughter Mary Pierce born Duxbury 1644/45, m. Nathaniel Baker before 1670, died before April 1692 probably at Yarmouth. 
o   His daughter Alice born abt 1650 prob at Barnstable, m. John Baker before 1672, died 1718 at Duxbury.
o   His son Isaac born about 1641 prob at Duxbury, m. Alice Chartley in 1681, died Middleborough, 1732. I don’t yet know anything about Alice Chartley.
Thomas Prence, b. about 1600 at Gloucestershire England, came to Plymouth on the Fortune in 1621, m. 1st Patience Brewster in 1624 at Plymouth (dau of William and Mary Brewster), 2nd Mary Collier dau of William Collier, 3rd Apphia Feeman, 4th Mary __ Howes widow of Thomas Howes (also my direct descendant).  He also lived at Duxbury and Eastham (in an area that became Orleans) and became Governor of the Colony.  I descend through Thomas and Patience’s daughter Mercy b. 1631 prob Plymouth and married Major John Freeman in 1650 at Eastham.
Abraham Sampson/Samson, b. Bedfordshire 1614, died Duxbury about 1701, married ___ Nash. I descend through his son Samuel Sampson/Samson, born 1646 Duxbury, m. Esther Delano about 1669 (she was born Duxbury 1640, daughter of Philip Delano and Hester Dewsbury), he died 1675 in Duxbury(?). I then descend through Samuel Sampson b. 1670 at Duxbury, m. Hazadiah Eddy (b. 1672, Plymouth, dau of Obadiah Eddy and Bennet Ellis), died Middleborough, 1744. I then descend through their daughter Mary who was born about 1700 and married Benjamin Fuller by 1720 (b. 1696 at Plymouth son of Samuel Fuller and Mercy Eaton), died before 4 July 1755.
Moses Simmons born about 1605 possibly Leiden, Holland, m. Sarah ____, was with the Pilgrims at Leiden, came to Plymouth in 1621 on the Fortune, moved to Duxbury where he died 1689-91. I descend through his daughter Rebecca who married John Soule about 1655 probably at Duxbury.
George Soule born 1593-1600 in England, Mayflower passenger, married by 1626 Mary Becket/Bucket, at Plymouth (her birth and parents not known), he moved to Duxbury in 1630, dying there in 1679. I descend through their son John who was born Plymouth about 1632. He married Rebecca Simmons about 1655 prob at Duxbury (she was born about 1635 prob at Plymouth, dau of Moses Simmons), died before 14 Nov 1707 at Duxbury. I then descend through their daughter Sarah Soule, b Duxbury about 1660, m. Adam Wright about 1678 at Duxbury or Plymouth, died 1691-1699 at Plymouth.
Ephraim Tinkham b. 1618 Barnstaple, Devonshire, migrated 1634, m. Mary Browne before Oct 1647 at Plymouth.  Mary was born about 1626, the daughter of Mayflower passenger Peter Browne. They moved to Duxbury but was back in Plymouth where he died 1684-85. I descend through their son Helkiah, born Plymouth 1655, m. Ruth ___ about 1685, died Plymouth after May 1718. Then through son John born 1689, Plymouth, m. Anne Gray 1714 at Plymouth (b. 1691 Plymouth, daughter of John Gray and Joanna Morton), died 1730 at Kingston. Then through Ann Tinkham, born Kingston 1726, married Samuel Fuller in 1747 at Kingston.
Stephen Tracy born about Dec 1596, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, m. Tryphosa Lee at Leiden, Holland in 1621, migrated on the Ann or Little James in 1632. They were in Duxbury by 1637 but in March 1655 he was back in Great Yarmouth, England where he died after that time.  I descend through daughter Sarah Tracy, who married George Partridge in 1638 at Plymouth. They lived in Duxbury.
John Washburn, b. 1597 at Evesham, Worcester, England, m. Margery Moore 1618 at Bengeworth, Worcester (she was born 1588 at Bengeworth, dau of Robert Moore and Ellen Taylor). He came to Plymouth in 1632. Moved to Duxbury before 1643 and Bridgewater after 1666. Died after 17 March 1671, possibly at Bridgewater. I descend through his son Phillip 2 Washburn who was born Evesham about 1624, m. Elizabeth Irish 1664 at Bridgewater (she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Irish, b. prob Duxbury 1639-44), died after 19 Aug 1700 at Bridgewater or Duxbury. Then descend through their son John  3 Washburn b. about 1672, m. Lydia Billington about 1698 prob at Plymouth (Lydia was born about 1677 at Marshfield, dau of Isaac Billington and Hannah Glass). He m. 2nd Wybra Bumpus abt 1717 and 3d 1744 Mehitable (Barrow) Wright. John died 1750 at Kingston. Then descend through John and Lydia’s son John 4 Washburn, born Plymouth 1699, m. Abigail Phillips 1727 at Kingston (Abigail born 1699 at Marshfield, dau of Benjamin Philips and Sarah Thomas), died 1768 at Plymouth. Then descend through Seth 5 Washburn, born Plymouth 1738, m 1st Fear Howard in 1765, 2nd Anna Fullerton in 1785, 3rd Deborah Wright in 1792 (Deborah was born Plympton 1749, dau of Joseph Wright and Sarah Brewster). Seth died Plymouth in 1826. I then descend through Seth and Deborah’s son Ephraim 6 Washburn b. 1794 at Plymouth, m. Mary Lucas 1822 at Plymouth (Mary was born Caver 1792, dau of Ephraim Lucas and Azubah Pratt), 2nd Deborah Morey 1798 at Plymouth.  Ephraim died Plymouth 1822. I then descend through their son Seth 7 Washburn, born Plymouth 1828, m. Mary Briggs Bumpus 1856 at Wareham (Mary was born 1840 at Wareham, dau of Rowland Bumpus and Lucy Nye Pierce), died 1921. in Plymouth. I then descend through their son Charles Francis 8 Washburn, b. Plymouth 1857, m. Hattie Maria Benson in 1878 at Plymouth (Hattie was born 1861 at Plymouth, dau of Josiah Benson and Aurilla West Nye), died Plymouth 1941. I then descend through Carrie Clyfton Washburn born Plymouth 1896, m. Everett William Ellis 1914 at Plymouth, died 1974 at Plymouth.
Rev. William Wetherell, b. ca 1600, in England, married Mary Fisher 26 March 1627 in Canterbury, Kent, England (Mary was born 1604 in Boughton, Mochelsea, Kent, dau of Thomas Fisher and Joan Lake), he died Scituate 9 April 1684. A Puritan, he migrated in 1635 with his wife, three sons and a servant. Settled first Charlestown, then Newtowne (Cambridge), then Duxbury and finally Scituate where he was the minister of the Second Church.

Ancestors from Chatham, Barnstable Co., Mass.

Nathaniel Covell, birth date/origins unknown, he lived first at Boston when he arrived in 1653, then served Edward Winslow of Marshfield for seven years, then went to Chatham where in 1663 he married Sarah Nickerson, the daughter of Chatham founder William Nickerson (Sarah was born about 1644).  I descend through their daughter Elizabeth who married Jehosophat Eldredge and they raised their family in Chatham.
Jehosophat 2 Eldredge, son of William 1, born about 1658 at Yarmouth, married Elizabeth Covell (her birth date unknown, dau of Nathaniel Covell and Sarah Nickerson), died 1732 at Chatham. Then through Ebenezer 3 Eldredge, born Feb 1707 in Chatham, married Deliverance Nickerson (she was born Chatham in 1728 the dau of William Nickerson and Sarah Covell), moved to Harwich where he died in 1797.
Moses Godfrey, son of George Godfrey, born Eastham 1668, m. Deborah Cooke about 1700 at Eastham (Deborah was born 1679 at Plymouth, the daughter of Josiah Cooke and Deborah Hopkins), died Chatham 1743. Then descend through their daughter Desire Godfrey born about 1712 at Yarmouth, m. Nathaniel Ryder 1728 at Chatham, and died Chatham after Feb 1742.
Ruth Harding, probably born Chatham but date and parents not yet discovered, married Nehemiah Eldredge in 1796, children born Chatham and Harwich, no death record found for her or her husband.
William Nickerson, b. 1604 Norwich, Norfolk, m. Anne Busby about 1630 (she was born about 1608 at Norwich, Norfolk, dau of Nicholas and Bridget Busby), founded the town of Chatham, d there 1690. I then descend through three of their children.
1.      Nicholas Nickerson, b about Aug 1628, m. Mary Darby about 1663 (she was born about 1644 possibly in Plymouth the dau of John and Alice Darby), and a woman whose name is unknown, he died Yarmouth/Dennis 1682. I descend through 2 of Nicholas and Mary’s children:
·         John b. Yarmouth/Dennis 1664, m. Elizabeth Baker in 1696 (she was b about 1675, dau of John Baker and Alice Pierce), he died after April 1712 prob Yarmouth/Dennis.
·         Sarah born 1674 Yarmouth/Dennis, m. John Burgess about 1694 at Yarmouth/Dennis (he was son of John Burgess and Mary Worden, b. about 1674 prob Yarmouth/Dennis.) Sarah d. 1723 at Yarmouth/Dennis.
2.      Sarah Nickerson, born about 1644, Yarmouth/Dennis, m. Nathaniel Covell in 1663 at Yarmouth, they lived a Chatham after 1715.
3.      William Nickerson, born 1646, Yarmouth, m. Mercy Williams 1668 (b. about 1644 Eastham, died 1739), he died before April 1719 at Chatham. I then descend through their son William born Chatham 1668-1675, m. Deliverance Lombard  (dau of Caleb Lombard and Deliverance Fuller) about Jan 1700, died 1742 at Chatham.

Samuel Ryder/Rider, b. 1601 Newport Paynell, Buckinghamshire, m. Ann Gamlett, 1628 Northamptonshire, died Yarmouth/Dennis 1679. I descend through their son John Ryder who was born 1636 in Northamptonshire, married ____ , died Yarmouth in 1706. Then through son John Ryder b. abt 1667 in Yarmouth/Dennis, m. Esther Hall about 1691 (she was born 1672 at Yarmouth, the daughter of John Hall and Priscilla Bearse), d. 1719 at Yarmouth.  Then through Nathaniel Ryder who was born Yarmouth 1705, m. Desire Godfrey in 1728 at Chatham (desire was born about 1712 the dau of Moses Godfrey of Yarmouth), died after 1749 in Chatham. Then through Esther Ryder born about 1731 at Chatham, m. Thomas Freeman 1751, moved to Falmouth where she died in 1802.
Richard Sears b. ca 1595 in England, m. Dorothy Jones in 1632, England.  He was one of the first settlers at Marblehead, in 1639 settling permanently at Yarmouth. He may have been a fisherman on Isaac Allerton’s boat White Angel that came into Marblehead in 1632 (which was part of Salem).  He died Yarmouth (now East Dennis) in 1676. I descend through their son Paul who was born about 1637 at Marblehead, m. Deborah Willard about 1658 at Yarmouth(she was born before Sept 1645, dau of George Willard and Dorothy Dunster), died Yarmouth 1708. I then descend through their son Richard Sears born 1681 Yarmouth, m. Hope Howes 1706 at Yarmouth (Hope was born about 1682 at Yarmouth, daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Howes), died Chatham 1718. Then through Paul Sears b. Chatham abt 1710, m. Anna Atkins about Feb 1730 at Eastham (Anna was born Eastham 1713 the dau of Joseph Atkins and Martha Pease), he died after 1752. I then descend through Hope Sears (one of Paul and Anna’s 10! Daughters, who was born 1731, Chatham, m. Thomas Howes and lived in Harwich.
Hugh Stewart, last name sometimes Stuard, b. about 1650, early Chatham settler, m. Waitstill Deane about 1672 in Yarmouth (I haven’t found her parents/birth info).  In Falmouth in 1669 and Yarmouth a little later. He died Chatham between 1711-1716. I descend through their son Joseph Stewart who was born about 1688 at Chathan, married Mary ____, died after 1763 probably at Chatham. Then through Lydia Stewart born about 1708, m. Shubael Baker 1733 at Chatham, died 1786, probably at Dennis.

Ancestors from Eastham/Orleans/Truro, Barnstable Co., Mass.

Henry Atkins, b about 1617 in England, first at Plymouth, m. Elizabeth Wells 1647 at Barnstable and Bethia Linnell 1664 at Eastham, died Eastham bef Aug 1700. I descend through Henry and Bethiah’s Joseph born Eastham 1669 who married Martha Pease about 1709 at Edgartown, died Eastham 1726. Then through his daughter Anna Atkins b. 1713 at Eastham, m. Paul Sears about 1730 prob at Eastham and died 1783 at Chatham. 

Edward Bangs, b. about 1591, also lived in Plymouth, married Rebecca _____, died Eastham 1677-1678. Descend through his daughter Rebecca b. Plymouth about 1636 and married Jonathan Sparrow and they lived at Eastham.

Daniel Cole, born Dec 1614 at Weeden Bec, Northamptonshire, married Ruth Collier in 1643 probably at Eastham, died there 20 Nov 1694. I descend through their son Timothy 2 Cole who was born Eastham Sept 1646, married ____ and died prob Eastham after 15 Jan 1695. Then through his son Timothy 3 who was born prob Eastham 1684-1688, married Apphia Pepper and died Eastham 24 April 1760. Then through their daughter Dorothy Cole born Eastham 15 May 1712, married Thomas Freeman of Eastham and moved to Harwich where she died in 1782.

Josias Cooke, born about 1610 in England, migrated 1633, lived first Plymouth where he m. Elizabeth Ring in 1635, died Eastham 17 Oct 1673. He was one of the first seven settlers in an area of Harwich that became Eastham. Sometimes called Josiah in records. No known relationship to Francis Cooke of the Mayflower. I descend through his on Josiah who was born Eastham 1645, m. Deborah Hopkins, died Plymouth 1732. Then descend through Deborah Cooke who was born Eastham 1679, m. Moses Godfrey about 1700, died Chatham 1745. 

Major John 2 Freeman born England 1627, raised in Sandwich, Mass., moved to Eastham; married to Mercy Prence. I descend through their son Thomas Freeman who was born Eastham 1653, married Rebecca Sparrow, moved to an area of Harwich that became Brewster. 

Samuel Freeman, possibly born in Watertown, son of Samuel Freeman, he m. Mercy Southworth (b. Duxbury 1638 dau of Constant Southworth) in 1658 prob. Plymouth, died Eastham 1712. Any connection to Edmond 1 Freeman family isn’t known. I descend through their daughter Apphia Freeman who m. Isaac Pepper. 

Thomas 4 Freeman born Harwich, now Brewster, in 1676 (Thomas 3, John 2, Edmund 1 Freeman), married 1st Bathsheba Mayo, 2nd Mary Smith (b. 1685 Oyster River now Durham NH to James Smith and Sarah Davis; she survived an Indian attack in Oyster River that killed her mother and brother). Thomas died 1717 in an area of Harwich that became Orleans. I descend through Thomas and Mary’s son Thomas, born 1708 at Harwich, married Dorothy Cole at Eastham, died 1766 in Harwich (now Orleans). I then descend through their son Thomas born Eastham, 1731, married Esther Ryder (born Chatham at 1731, the daughter of Nathaniel Ryder and Desire Godfrey),  died Falmouth 1800. 

George Godfrey, lived at Eastham and likely died there after 1688, I have little info on him so far. I descend through his son Moses who was born Eastham 1668, m. Deborah Cooke about 1700 at Eastham, died Chatham 1743. Then descend through Desire Godfrey born about 1712 at Yarmouth, m. Nathaniel Ryder 1728 at Chatham, and died Chatham after Feb 1742. 

Constance Hopkins, b. 1606 at Hursley, Hampshire, m. Nicholas Snow at Plymouth 1623-1627, moved to Eastham and died there in 1677.  Nicholas Snow was b. about 1600 in England, died 1676 at Eastham.  He came to Plymouth in 1623 on the Anne. He lived in Plymouth but by 1645 was at Eastham. I descend through two of Constance’s sons:
1.      Joseph born Eastham Nov 1634, m. Mary ___, died Eastham 1723. I then descend through their son Thomas Snow likely born Eastham, m. Priscilla Butler.
2.      John Snow b. about 1638, married Mary Smalley, died Eastham before April 1692. Then through their daughter Rebecca Snow, b. Eastham 1676, m. Benjamin Small moved to Salisbury CT where she died in 1753.

Giles Hopkins, b. 1609 at Hursley, Hampshire, m. Katharine Whelden in Plymouth 1639, died 1689-1690 at Eastham. I then descend through daughter Deborah who was born Eastham 1648, m. Josiah Cooke there in 1668, probably died there sometime between 1687-1727. 

John Mayo b 1598 Northamptonshire, m. Thomasine Brike, died Yarmouth May 1676. Minister who was at the Eastham Church in 1646, then in 1655 to 2nd Church Boston, then to Yarmouth. Then through their daughter Elizabeth b. 1630 England, m. Joseph Howes in Yarmouth 1650s, died Yarmouth 1700. 

Robert Pepper, born about 1618 in England, m. Elizabeth Johnson (born 1619 at London, dau of John Johnson and Mary Heath); he was in Roxbury by 1639 where he died in 1684. Descend through their son Isaac Pepper born Roxbury 1659, m Apphia Freeman in 1685 at Eastham, and he was an early settler at Eastham. Then descend through their daughter Apphia Pepper (b. Eastham 1687) who m. Timothy Cole at Eastham in 1709.

Francis Small/Smalley, born about 1625 in Biddiford, Devon, m. Elizabeth (possibly Leighton), died about 1713 in Truro. Originally settled in Maine.  I descend through his son Benjamin who was born in Maine about 1665, m. Rebecca Snow about 1694, moved to Lebanon CT where he died before 1721. Then descend through daughter Mary Small born Truro 1705, m. John Nickerson at Yarmouth in 1729.

John Smalley he came on the William and Francis 1632, group of first settlers in an area that became Harwich, later Eastham, then Orleans. Eventually moved to Piscataway NJ. He married Ann Walden in 1638 at Plymouth.  I then descend through their daughter Mary Smalley, b. 1647 at Eastham, m. John Snow 1677 at Eastham. 

Ralph Smith/Smyth, b. 1612 Hingham, Norfolk, England, m. ____, died before 27 Oct 1685 at Eastham. Arrived on the Lincoln in 1633. In Eastham by 1657. First settled at Hingham. I descend through his son Daniel Smith b. before 1647 at Hingham, Plymouth Co., m Mary Young at Eastham 1676 (she was born 1658 at Eastham dau of John Young and Abigail Howland), died 1716-1720 Eastham. Then through Content Smith b. 1680 at Eastham, m. Thomas Howes 1701 at Eastham. 

Richard Sparrow, born about 1605 in England, m. Pandora ____ about 1628 in England, was in Plymouth 1632, he moved to Eastham by 1653, died Eastham 1661. I descend through their only child, Jonathan, born about 1629 in England, m. 1st Rebecca Bangs in 1654, 2nd Hannah (Prence) Mayo, 3rd Sarah (Lewis) Cobb. He died Eastham 1707. Rebecca was born Plymouth about 1636, dau of Edward and Rebecca Bangs. I descend through Jonathan and Rebecca’s daughter Rebecca who was born Plymouth 1655, m. Thomas Freeman in 1673, died in Harwich (now Brewster) in 1740. 

William Twining, birth unknown, married 1st Anne ___ and 2nd Anna Doane. He first appears in records in 1641. Moved to Yarmouth and then Eastham where he died in 1659.  I descend through Isabel, the daughter of William and Anne, who m. Francis Baker at Plymouth and moved to Yarmouth/Dennis where she raised her family, dying there in 1706.

Robert Wixon, b. ca 1617 in England, m. Alice ____, probably at Eastham, died 1686 at Eastham. He was at Plymouth in 1634 and Eastham by 1648. Many believe Alice was a Native American. He lived in an area of Eastham that at the time was Harwich and now is in Orleans. I descend through their son Barnabas born prob Eastham 1660-1663, m. Sarah Remick (Sarah was born 1663, the daughter of Christian Remick of Kittery, Maine), died after June 1735 at Yarmouth. Barnabas lived in an area of Yarmouth that would become Dennisport. I then descend through Joshua Wixon, born 1695 at Plymouth, m. Hannah Baker in 1715 at Yarmouth (Hannah was born 1696, the daughter of Daniel Baker and Elizabeth Chase) and 2nd Elizabeth Chase  in 1731 at Yarmouth. Joshua may have moved to the Oblong, now Putnam County, New York. I then descend through Reuben Wixon, b. Yarmouth 1717, m. Dorcas Chase 1746 Harwich (Dorcas was the daughter of William Chase and Dorcas Baker), died 1799, at Dennis. I then descend through their son Job Wixon, b. Dennis 1759, m. Desire Chase 1785 (Desire was born about 1755, dau of Sylvanus Chase and Charity Chase), died 1813 at Dennis. I descend through their daughter Rosanna, b. 1789 at Harwich, m. James Harding Eldredge 1818 at Harwich, died Denisport in 1868. 

John Young, b. abt 1623, m. Abigail Howland 1648 at Plymouth (Abigail was b. about 1628 the daughter of Henry and Mary Howland), d. 1691 in Eastham (now Orleans).  He first appears in Plymouth records in 1643, he moved to Eastham about 1650. I descend through their daughter Mary who was born 1658 at Eastham, m. Daniel Smith in 1676 at Plymouth, died after 20 Jan 1720.
